Gujarati Learning Center - (GLC) is part of Pushtimargiya Vaishnav Parivar of Seattle - VIPO a non-profit corporation.

Gujarati Learning Center has successfully completed one Year. And now its time for the year 2020.

For year 2021, Classes will start from Sunday, 14th March 2021 to Sunday, 12th December 2021. See Calendar for more details:

Due to Coronavirus - As of now we are only offering ONLINE classes thru Google Classroom. Based on WA state guideline later this year, we may offer In-Person classes at below location:

Class Schedule:

Level-1:

- 2nd & 4th Sundays - 10am to 10:45am - March to June & Sept to December. - 2nd & 4th Wednesdays - 5pm to 5:45pm - July and August

Level-2: - 2nd and 4th Sundays - 2:00pm to 3:00pm - March to June & Sept to December, - 2nd and 4th Wednesdays - 6pm to 7:00pm - July & August

Level-3, 4 & 5: - 2nd and 4th Sundays - 5 to 6:30pm - March to June & September to December - 2nd and 4th Wednesdays- 6pm to 7:30pm - July & August

What we offer?

We have highly qualified Gujarati teacher volunteers to teach Gujarati.

Focus of Gujarati Learning Center will always be to make their students proficient in Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking Gujarati Language and at the end to make them ready for Language test.

Fees include all the class work material, home work material and access to GLC-PVPS Library.

• GLC-PVPS Library will offer Gujarati, Indian Cultural/Educational/Inspirational - books in Gujarati and in English.
• Opportunity to participate in Cultural Programs (Gujarati  - Poem Recitals, Speech, Dance etc.)
• Unit tests and End-of-Year test
• Graduation Ceremony/Annual Function

Levels by Age-Group:

This year classes will run in four different levels by age-group, so each group can have same level of social, emotional and academic skills. This can benefit them to get along with each other easily in the group, which can make them learn successfully in a group and students part of the group can progress as one single entity.

Level-1: Bal Mandir - Age 3 & 4 (potty trained) - Speaking, Listening, Recognizing - Gujarati Alphabets, Numbers - Vegetables, Fruits, Animals, Poem, Stories, Games.

Level-2: Age 5 years and above -Syllabus - Reading/Writing/Speaking/Listening Gujarati Kakko, Numbers, Vegetables, Fruits, Animals, Poem, Stories, Games.

Level-3: Age 6 years and above  - Reading/Writing/Speaking/Listening Gujarati             - Must know Kakko (Gujarati Alphabets) and 1 to 20 Gujarati Numbers,  Kakko Revision Barakhari Introduction (6 Vowels).

Level-4: Age 7 Years and above - Reading/Writing/Speaking/Listening Gujarati             - Must know Kakko (Gujarati Alphabets) and 1 to 50 Gujarati Numbers,  Kakko Revision, Barakhari Revision, Finish Barakhari, Start of                   Grammar - (Plural, Singular, Adjectives etc.), Easy Gujarati Reading.

Level-5 - Age 8 Years and above - - Reading/Writing/Speaking/Listening Gujarati             - Must know easy Gujarati Reading/Writing

Admission Fees:

1) For Level-2 & Above:

   100$/Year - Covers 19 classes, each class will be 60 to 120 minutes long, younger kids will have 60 to 90 minutes of class, 

      while elder kids (Level-4 and above) may have 90 to 120 minutes of class.

2)  For Level 1:

     50$/Year - Covers 19 classes, each class will be 30 to 45 minutes long
